Profile of John Hammerschlag

Hammerschlag & Co. President, John W. Hammerschlag, has over 30 years of experience in the parking industry. As an investor, developer, advisor, and operator, Mr. Hammerschlag has built a parking investment and advisory services business that is unique in the industry. He understands the dynamics of the national and local parking markets, the nature of parking competition, and the players involved.

In 1995, Mr. Hammerschlag launched his own business, after the successful establishment of a joint parking operations venture with, and ultimate sale to, a publicly held national parking operator. Formerly, Mr. Hammerschlag held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer during his 15 year tenure with a local, privately held parking operator where he directed the team development of five commercial self park garages and operations for over 100 owned, leased and managed parking facilities. From 1973 to 1976 he served as a commercial lending officer for Citibank in New York City. Mr. Hammerschlag's academic credentials include an MBA from the University of Chicago (1973) and a BSE from the University of Michigan (1970).

Mr. Hammerschlag resides with his wife and two sons in Evanston, Illinois.
